I'll admit, I haven't read any of the Lovecraft books, I'm not exactly a horror fan. But what I have gathered, I need to point some things out. Lovecraft claims the universe is but Azathoth's dream, and will cease to exist once he awakes, and yet he also tells of a universe known as the "Dreamlands", which is accessible through one's dreams, yet exists completely independently from the real world. Can someone explain that? Also, WTF are Cthulhu and his posse of space alien deities anyway? Are the Great Old Ones all the same species or are they many? And yet, Kthanid (who is long overdue for a Heroes wiki page, being a good counterpart) is the brother of Cthulhu, so it would be logic to assume them the same species, yet he's referred to as an "Elder God", while Cthulhu is a Great Old One. So that must mean they are factions, not species. And he is described as "A Member of Cthulhu's race". But what do they call themselves? Huh? Pick a lane, Howard! Of course, he likely purposely left the information vague to make these creatures seem more mysterious. Also, an octopus dragon thing mated with a giant eel, and produced weird-looking offspring, one of them being a tentacled frog. Again, them being of the same lineage would indicate they are a diverse species. Unless I'm expected to believe these are random species offspring, and each one is of a single specimen species. Since it's clear that they don't follow conventional logic, which includes biology. But hypothetically, I'd propose considering them a single species, literally named "Lovecraftian God" or "Lovecraftian Deity" (Taxonomic designation: Lovecraftius major).
What's on your mind?

General Discussion
I'm kind of a fan of Awful Hospital and I was wondering if the Parliament of Old Flesh could be considered eldritch horrors.

Hi guys
I drew the first of three Flying Polyp images in the 1990s I think. It's on the wikipedia page. I'd love having my name attached to the article but can't seen to be able to figure out how to add ir.
Thanks

Is there a language used in the stories that I can use for a story? There's a part near the end where the author is being overtaken by the madness emulating from the body of an Outer God, and I want his last entry to have him write in an alien language.
I don't feel comfortable about making changes to http://lovecraft.wikia.com/wiki/Necronomicon The Necronomicon Page. The one thing I would add now would be in the General Information part at the bottom where you guys talked about the Bombinomicon. The Fighting Game known as "Them Fightin' Herds" have a variant within their Lore known as the Unicornomicon. I thought you guys should at least hear about it so you guys can make the actual changes that are needed.
I thought it would be interesting if the Character Infobox's had a Powers section as these are very powerful beings and many people are confused by their powers. However, when I tried to add the section in the template edit page, it still didn't work well.
The Lovecraft Wiki Development Drive for 2015 has officially begun!
Over the course of the next 8 weeks, I will be reaching out to blogs, podcasts and other media outlets that focus on Lovecraft and Lovecraft related topics. I encourage all of you to do the same.
Additionally, I will be overseeing and working to put the wiki in a much better place organizationally, and to add a lot of new content.
I want this site to become an unparalleled resource on Lovecraft and the Mythos, not by replacing any other existing resources, but by being a central repository and guide to the realms of Lovecraft.
Drop me a message on my Message Wall.
