Eddy Jr.; January 18, 1896 – November 21, 1967) was a writer of weird fiction best remembered now for his friendship with H. P. Lovecraft and in some circles for his writing "The Loved Dead", a story of energy vampirism and necrophilia co-written by Lovecraft.

In addition to "The Loved Dead", Eddy and Lovecraft also collaborated on "Ashes", "The Ghost-Eater" and "Deaf, Dumb, and Blind". All four stories were published in Weird Tales and credited solely to Eddy.

Eddy introduced both Houdini and Hazel Heald to Lovecraft amongst others and so was instrumental in widening the Mythos as it would come to be reconstructed or interpreted, through the collaboration and ghost writing work for which Lovecraft was commissioned by these and other authors.

His grandson, Jim Dyer, is the founder, owner and publisher of Fenham Publishing, a small press publisher that has published collected works of C. M. Eddy, Jr. as well as other related publications by both Eddy and his wife Muriell Eddy and his daughter Ruth Eddy relating to their personal reminiscences of H.P. Lovecraft.
