This subject is written on a topic in the real world and reflects factual information. This subject contains information from the Expanded Cthulhu Mythos, and not based on H.P. Lovecraft's works directly. Folklore is a background sourcebook produced by Cubicle 7 Entertainment as part of their Cthulhu Britannica line of Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game supplements.

Overview[]

Written by Stuart Boon, James Desborough and others as part of Cubicle 7's Cthulhu Britannica line, as it’s name might suggest, Folklore focuses on the legendary aspects of the British isles and how this interacts with the beings and events of the Cthulhu Mythos. It runs to 136 pages in in a softcover binding.

The book contains a new character profession, a bestiary of folkloric creatures and how they relate to the Mythos, the use of folkloric or hedge magic, a calendar of significant dates, and a selection of nine stand-alone proto-scenarios (including non-player characters but no handouts or pregenerated characters).

Publication History[]

Folklore was published by third-party content provider Cubicle 7 Entertainment in 2013. As Cubicle 7 no longer hold a license to produce Call of Cthulhu material, it is currently out of print.
