A comprehensive biographical account of the life of the late American author H. P. Lovecraft, Joshi has stated that it is his most significant achievement in a long career of study.
Publication History[]
First released in 1996 by Necronomicon Press who reissued in in a slightly modified format in 2004, it received a significant expansion through Hippocampus Press in 2010 as I Am Providence: The Life and Times of H. P. Lovecraft, which necessitated splitting the contents into two volumes.
