Kingsport is a fictional town created by H. P. Lovecraft, an archaic seaside village in Massachusetts that serves as an integral part of Lovecraft Country.
Geography[]
North of Kingsport is a famous stretch of cliffs that break at the Kingsport Head for the mouth of the Miskatonic River before following the coast up just short of the Manuxet in Innsmouth. Other named cliffs include Father Neptune and The Causeway.
History[]
In the early 19th century, local fishermen sailed their sloops to Innsmouth, following rumours of fish swarming the harbour, but they never returned. (HPL: "The Shadow Over Innsmouth")
