Koth is a fictional city first mentioned in the Conrad & Kirowan stories of the late American author Robert E. Howard. It has also been referenced in Howard's Conan series of sword and sorcery tales, and further expanded upon in this setting by Marvel Comics. Described as a black, cyclopean city, it is believed to be located in the ancient supercontinent of Hyboria.
Despite Howard presenting Koth as a city, the waters have been somewhat muddied through mentioning it in the same context as such beings as Cthulhu and Yog-Sothoth. This would seem to imply that it is perhaps more than a simple complex of buildings (CIRCLE: "The Fire of Asshurbanipal", Robert E. Howard; EXP: "The Lords of Pain", Richard L. Tierney).

In the fictional world of Marvel Comics, the being known as Varnae established a lair in Koth, and later clashed with the hero Conan.
Conan also clashed with the Demon Lord of the Dark Valley in Koth.
